Three Penny Opera

Project Objective:
To create an illustration heavy poster to advertise the perfomance of the “Three Penny Opera” put on by the theatre department. It must also follow the visual theme of steampunk.
The limited color palette is heavily inspired by steampunk, with the three prominent spots of red moving the audiences eye across the flyer. The illustration of the mobster is off to one side to create asymmetrical balance between him and the text heavy side. The minimal detail in the illustration adds an air of mystery and drama, reflecting the mood of the play.
