New York At Its Core
Fall 2020
Project Objective:
To create an educational take-away brochure for The Museum of the City of New York. It must follow the branding and provide information about both the exhibition and the museum. An infographic must also be included.
Following the branding of the Museum of the City of New York, I used the dark gray for the background with white text in Aveneir Condensed to allow for readability. The triangle in the background is to add dynamic flow and subtle interest to the background without distracting from the text. The bold colors accent the information and ties the brochure with the brand even further.
The photos are textured and color edited to keep with how other photography is edited. The dot pattern throughout the brochure not only creates rhythm and movement, it also references the texture of the edited photography, tying the two together within the design. The bold colors keep the reader engaged and provide excitement to the information.
The infographic displays is orange to contrast the dark background and highlight the graphic. The apple icons are also repeated throughout the whole brochure.
